August 2014 Revised Safaricom M-Pesa Transactional Rates Tariff

The following rates are the new Safaricom M-pesa Transactional Rates Effective Thursday, 21st August 2014

Maximum Daily Transaction is Ksh140,000 with a maximum of Ksh70,000 per transaction

Did You Know: You can send money to other Kenyan Mobile networks e.g. Airtel , Yu and Orange from your Safaricom Mpesa Line. This group falls under the unregistered users’ column on the above table. You will be charged a one time fee but the receiver will withdraw the money at an agent at no cost. All they need to do is to visit an Mpesa Agent with the text message from Mpesa confirming receipt of cash from the Mpesa number. The SMS has unique with a four letter code which the agent will use to initiate a “Give Cash” transaction together with the recipient phone number i.e. the Airtel,YU or Orange SIM.
