The Kenya School of Law invites tenders and applications for supply of a Library Electronic Security Management System from interested eligible bidders with the following minimum specifications:



  • Designed for any type of Tattle tape strip – 12,000 pieces

  • Standard Detection Distance- Height: 170 – 175cm Width: 75 – 90 cm
  • Book check in/out unit complete with desensitizer/demagnetizer accessory
  • Must come with 1 year warranty


  • Local Support or dealer authorization in similar library setup Technology a. EM Security System
  • Standard Material: -Acrylic/ Glass/Wood
  • Standard frequency- to minimize separation between metal objects


  1. Alarm Rate -100%
  2. Meets ADA requirements

Patron count

  1. Should be able to monitor traffic /exit of patrons
  2. Allow for data logging, reporting and recording

Energy profile

  1. Standard in-put/ Output voltage 50 – 60 MHZ
  2. Transmitting power-3.6W—5W , 220/240 vac Power backup 1.5 KVA UPS

NB: The system should cater for users who are physically challenged e.g. a person on wheel chair. Eligible bidders should attach valid documentation and be able to meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. A company/Business profile
  2. Certificate of incorporation
  3. KRA,VAT, PIN registered and valid Tax Compliance Certificate
  4. Three references for recent similar projects
