ActionAid is an international organisation, working with over 25 million people in more than 40 countries for a world free from poverty and injustice. The Projects Co-ordinator – LandFor/Kilimanjaro project will work with ActionAid member countries, International Secretariat stakeholders, and Convening Partners, by taking the lead on the development of, coordination, and execution of a comprehensive strategy towards the Kilimanjaro initiative as a key moment for the AAI federation in 2016, in order to meet the agreed objectives and targets. You will support AAI countries with their local and national mobilization plans, message collection and consolidation, and advocacy initiatives, while ensuring strong multi-country coordination and solidarity.
You will support the mobilization of supporters across countries, advocating for rights and justice for women and communities affected by or resisting dispossession of their land and livelihood base. You will play a convening role with other lead organizations to ensure effective coordination between ActionAid and key organisations among others. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences or other relevant field; a minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in a similar position of non-profit, development, and/or humanitarian organization with in-country and country level mobilization skills most importantly with rural women’s organizations and at least 3-5- years’ experience of running campaigns.
